First of all, why not practice some simple yoga pose. The best pose for feeling relaxed is Viparati Karani or legs up the wall. With your back on the floor you keep your hips as close to a wall as possible and then you swing your legs up so to have the blood circulation to improve and the flow to your heart to increase. This is a great pose when you are tired or have been flying.

In the pose, you can keep your hands on your abdomen and focus on a long inhalation followed by a pause and then a long exhalation (count 5 each time in your head). Stay in the pose for 5 to 10 minutes and just see how you feel afterwards.

This pose is also prescribed by doctors for patients suffering from low blood pressure, cardiac health concerns, and varicose veins.

Another great breathing exercise while lying in is the pose called Ujjayi. This breath is aimed to increase the energy flow in the body. Start visualising the air coming through your nostrils and going at the back of the throat, almost reducing the space of the throat. Each time make the inhalation and the exhalation longer and seal your lips. Since the Ujjayi breath is especially good for settling agitation and stress, and balancing the mind, try shifting into Ujjayi breath whenever you find yourself becoming aggravated or stressed. You should notice a soothing effect promptly.
