Who is 2MeClinic?

2MeClinic is a new Clinic aiming to “care for the whole you“, with specialists in:

    • Primary Care Gynaecology
    • Mental health
    • Fitness
    • Nutrition and Wellbeing
    • Radiology: Ultrasound

And much like ourselves at MeditSimple, 2MeClinic uses a “team approach” to give women access to the right health professionals at the right time.

The team consists of experienced General Practitioners, a Consultant Radiologist, a Psychotherapist, a Nutritionist, and a Personal Trainer. They offer women up-to-date advice on a range of areas, focussing on the needs of the whole person and not just individual symptoms.

Dr. Uchenna Amaechi, Co-Founder of 2MeClinic explains:

“Evidently the pressure on women’s health care is growing. Amidst this frenzy, we maintain that improved access to a holistic, integrated care model is the key to yielding better outcomes for women.”

As the first of its kind, 2MeClinic will provide improved access to integrative and holistic care. And with no unnecessary investigations, age-specific advice, and the opportunity to build trust with their patients, 2MeClinic offers a unique patient experience for women.

1- General Practice

The two co-founders met in August of 2010 whilst working as General Practitioners in the same inner-city practice in South London.  They not only recognised their common interest but often debated the challenges facing women’s health care within the Primary Care Sector and the need to get smarter about the way existing resources are used.

Dr Uchenna Amaechi

Dr Amaechi is a General Practice Partner in an NHS practice in South London.  She graduated from University College London Medical School in 2003. Her hospital-based training in Sexual Health medicine was the catalyst for developing further training in Sexual and Reproductive health, with a particular focus on Women’s Health and contraception.

She was also awarded the Diploma in the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health with letters of competency in Intrauterine techniques and Subdermal Implants.  Furthermore, she has set-up and developed protocols for Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) Clinics and currently runs the LARC clinic at her NHS practice.

Dr Anne Gauthey-Sebert

Similarly, Dr Gauthey-Sebert has worked as a GP in the NHS since 2004 and has been working as a Primary Care Physician at BUPA for the last 6 years.  She graduated from Paris V University Medical School in 1992 and ran her own General Practice in a busy inner-city area of Paris for 10 years. Her interest in women’s health stemmed from her exposure to the wide range and often complex medical needs of women within her antenatal and postnatal clinics.

She was the head of Public Health and the Deputy Mayor of the 18th arrondissement in Paris for six years, and was the lead for women’s health at her NHS practice developing practice guidelines on Female Genital Mutilation, Contraception, and Post Natal Depression.

2- Consultant-led Ultrasound Services

Dr Iheoma Osoba is a substantive Consultant Radiologist working both in the NHS and private sector.  However, her main practice is within the NHS where she works full time at Medway NHS Foundation Trust.

She is also currently the Colorectal and Gynaecology Radiology lead at Medway NHS Foundation trust. By participating in undergraduate and post graduate teaching, and regularly attending national and international radiological conferences and meetings, she ensures she provides the most up-to-date, relevant practice to her patients.

She offers the following ultrasound services:

      • Kidneys and Bladder (Renal)
      • Abdomen
      • PELVIS: Transvaginal (internal)
      • PELVIS: Transabdominal (external)
      • Lumps and bumps
      • Thyroid

3- Nutrition, Fitness and Well-being

Muriel: Nutritionist

Muriel is a nutritionist with an insatiable passion for health and wellness. She understood the limitations of managing symptoms over the more pro-active stance of disease prevention, which was the impetus for her studying the impact of nutrition on health.  Combining her scientific knowledge with her expertise in nutrition and micro-nutrition helps women reach their full potential.

Her mission statement:

We will work together to formulate a tailored nutritional program to achieve your goals and restore energy, confidence, and long-term weight stabilisation. My aim is to empower you to take control of your health and wellbeing.”

Michael: Person Trainer

Michael has been a Personal Trainer for over 10 years.  He has extensive experience in working with a wide range of clients, from beginners to professional athletes.  He is skilled in:

      • Injury and post-surgical rehabilitation
      • Speed and fitness
      • Weight loss
      • Building muscle mass
      • Strength and conditioning
      • Pre- and post-natal exercises

Michael offers advanced program designs for clients with chronic diseases. These include Diabetes, Asthma, Hypertension, Osteoporosis, Obesity, Cystic fibrosis, and Osteoporosis.  He has qualifications in nutrition which gives a uniquely holistic approach to his fitness programs.

Furthermore, he is passionate about educating clients on the anatomy and physiology of their body. This facilitates understanding of the rationale behind the choice of exercises and techniques.

His mission statement:

I am here to help you achieve your physical goals but to also motivate you to become healthier and stronger, improve your confidence, and progress beyond your expectations.”

Denise: Psychotherapist

Denise is an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, with over 25 years of experience in her profession.  She trained to Master’s level at Roehampton University and the University of Surrey, with further training at the Minster Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling.

Furthermore, was awarded certificates in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for anxiety and depression and counselling, from the Metanoia institute.  She is accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.  Denise has 35 years of experience working as Mental Health Nurse within the NHS.

Denise offers Psychotherapy and counselling for issues ranging from anxiety, to lack of confidence or extreme shyness to coping with the effects of abuse, or bullying and identity issues both cultural and sexual.

Her mission statement:

“My aim is to support you in enhancing the quality of your life in a warm, safe, relaxed, and non-judgemental atmosphere.  This is an opportunity for you to have protected time to talk about what you feel, think, and do, so that you can explore your inner world, and feel empowered to make your own decisions.”

The COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on women’s health

On one hand, the pandemic suspended most imaging and specialist out-patient services. This has thus had a significant impact on the access toreproductive health services

On the other, it has also proven to the team at 2MeClinic that women’s healthcare can be offered virtually.

    • Consultations can be held virtually, with no travel time needed
    • Medicines can be delivered straight to your door.
    • Intimate tests such has HPV home tests can be done in the comfort of your home.

So, like us at MeditSimple, 2MeClinic envision a future in healthcare that is largely virtual. The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly indicated that tele-health and telemedicine are the future of healthcare.

Where can I find 2MeClinic?

From wherever you are. The founders of 2MeClinic have seen how even sexual health has been able to be taken care of virtually during the pandemic. So, they anticipate to offer all possible care through their online clinic, and where necessary, on-site.
